James Eshleman

I serve as a Psychedelic Guide, Transformational Coach, Public Speaker, Community Builder, and Psychedelic Policy Advocate.

Early on in my professional career, I was working in finance and struggling with depression, alcohol abuse, and lacked real purpose in life. On January 31, 2017, while sitting at my desk, in a moment marked by fate, I stood up and quit my career on the spot. Four days later I participated in my first plant medicine ceremony and a new chapter in my life began.

I went on to become an apprentice, assisting in hundreds of plant medicine ceremonies that served thousands of individuals where I learned the art of guiding. As a guide in my own practice, I have worked with hundreds of individuals in 1-1 plant medicine ceremonies since 2019. Recently, I served on the State of Colorado’s Natural Medicine Advisory Board’s various Subcommittees helping to establish the nation’s second legal psychedelic therapy licensure model and facilitator training curriculum.

I’ve participated in many initiations and rites of passage, leading myself and other men and women through major transformational experiences. Woven together, the depth of my experience as a guide serves each and every client with whom I work. My passion and purpose in life are defined by my will to live and love as a free being, awake and alive to all that life has to offer. While inspiring others to do the same.

My Approach

The Center of All Directions is an ode to the heart and the peaceful presence emanating from within. When we are in integrity with and listening to our hearts we are capable of anything. The messages of life get more clear and we are better able to respond to the world around us in our unique power, passion, and love. When your world is created from the heart, life is unshackled from the weight of fear and the creative expression of your life unfolds effortlessly.

Learned Behaviors

What these have in common is the relation to the subconscious mind. Learned behaviors stemming from fear often become unconscious behaviors and when left unchecked, can disrupt our lives. Making the unconscious, conscious, is a pillar of my practice and dramatically transforms clients.

Stories

It is a normal function of the ego to craft narratives or stories about who we are. These stories help us identify with the world and in turn helps the world identify with us. However these stories are almost always lacking in alignment with who we actually are. One of the ways I provide realignment is offering a mirror to reflect on my client’s true nature.

Transformation

To transform requires openness, preparedness, and action. Aligning to transformation isn’t easy but there are steps to take and each one demands accountability and discipline. I provide coaching on how to begin, how to stay on target, and how to move through transformation.

Vulnerability

I hold a container that not only enables vulnerability but celebrates it. This has the effect of allowing my clients to explore the deepest and often darkest parts of their lives without fear of judgement. In fact, often the experience of self discovery becomes one of jubilation regardless of what’s found as I also help provide the road map for reintegrating those parts of yourself.

Acceptance & Presence

By accepting the current state of our reality, we can free ourselves to open up to the possibilities available to us. The baggage that we carry through life can fall away and what we’re left with is the present moment, which is free from the programs we find our ‘self’ attached to. It’s in presence where the richness of life is revealed.
